Stayin’ Alive

The crabapple tree in the backyard blooms beautiful white flowers in the springtime, but all have fallen and are dead now.
Taking a quick break in the backyard today, I sat on the deck and looked down only to notice something that would’ve normally –er no doubt– been overlooked.
The flower isn’t as beautiful as it once was, but it seemed to me it was hiding out in the cracks and doing ok for what it’s worth.
Though it’s kind of lonely, don’t you think?
