Small “a” Answer!

In yesterday’s post, I asked if anyone knew the reasoning behind The Broadmoor’s small “a” in their logo.
From my understanding, it was because of the rivalry between Penrose, the found of The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, and William Jackson Palmer, the man who founded the Antler’s Hotel in Colorado Springs. Penrose had The Broadmoor’s logo created with a small “a” out of egotistical reasons that his hotel was not only better, but that he would own it one day.
Which he did.
If anyone has a different story or theory, please do share. This is the one that I’ve been told when talking to the staff at The Broadmoor (I’m sure they are not biased 
) and read a little online.
