Downtown Denver at the 16th Street Mall. An outstanding campaign by Denver Water: Use Only What You Need.
I see these ad campaigns on buses and on yard signs. They’ve been running it for a long time and if you’ve been a long-time reader, one of my first posts was about a [...]

Clothing and shoes donation containers in Denver.

331 // September 28, 2008

The first day of Autumn has come and gone, but the weather isn’t showing any signs of cooling down. We’re still in the 80’s around here, but the leaves are starting to turn. About a month from now, Denver will be in the prime fall color season with beautiful and grand [...]

330 // September 28, 2008

Do you ever check for free screenings of movies before they come out? It takes a little digging around on the movie websites. So far I’ve been lucky enough to see Pineapple Express and then just this past week, Choke, before the movie was released on the big screen. Choke is [...]

Frisbee

25Sep08

329 // September 25, 2008

I took these shots of Cubbie while attempting to teach him how to catch a Frisbee in his mouth. He’s getting the hang of it — but it keeps bonking him in the nose or going over his body. He makes the effort of jumping, but hasn’t mouthed it quite yet.

Summer Over?

24Sep08

328 // September 24, 2008

Not here. Even though the official first day of Fall was on Monday, it certainly doesn’t feel like it here in Denver. While still in the mid-80s the rest of the week, the leaves are starting to change colors!
Can’t believe summer is over already, seemed like it just began. Did you [...]

Our beloved Chicago Cubs made the playoffs on Saturday. Just FYI, ya know

The family dog, Yogi. A teacup Yorkie Terrier with a tongue that is too long for it’s mouth — what I love about this picture is the vast hardwood floors in the background of a tiny dog.
By the way… anyone ever heard of a Dorkie? No, I’m not talking about myself [...]

325 // September 21, 2008

So I feel as though since I’ve gotten back from Chicago, you’ve only had one or two images that I’ve actually taken the day of my blog post.  After a week+ away on vacation, I’ve had a lot to catch up on both at work and at the house. This weekend [...]

Skiing Comfort

18Sep08

322 // September 18, 2008

Bought new skis and boots at the annual Sniagrab.held by Sports Authority. I’m super pumped because I’ve been on cheap-o beginner skis for about three years, with the exception of a snowboard stint last winter.
I never knew ski boots could be this comfortable. That is all, see you on the slopes.

Cub on Film

16Sep08

320 // September 16, 2008

Took shots of Mr. Cub with the 35mm — they came out excellent. The lighting, color and focus were pretty spot on for most the roll.

Seems like a natural in front of the camera, don’t you think?
