Black Friday at Macy’s in Stapleton. How many of you braved the crowds? I went for a little bit with my mom and sisters, and the crowds were nowhere near what I remember experiencing back in Chicago!

I thought I would just shoot a quick little note tonight, even though I’m in a food and alcohol comatose. I sincerly hope that you were able to share this day with family or some close friends. Between doing all the cooking and cleaning, the only pictures I got in were of family, so I’ll [...]

Dramatic lighting on some memorabilia that I keep in a corner of my home office. One item is older than me, another is almost as old, the other is fairly new. Can you guess which is which?

…I’d abandoned you, right? No, how could all three of my readers think such a thing

Actually I’ve been really busy with late nights, work and play. Wednesday I was able to trot downtown to a trade show my company was taking part in. I was able to see in-person [...]

No, don’t get the wrong idea. Even though it was a beautiful, 75 degrees here in Denver today, I was still working inside. I have a hunch that this will be the last weather like this until late spring.

Let’s talk about the weather. Is it winter or fall? 40s or mid-70s? In the middle of November, Denver might be seeing some global warming effects (go ahead- boooo!). But with only one dusting of snow in the front range — being an entire month later than last year and not [...]

Fantastic texture shot of an old building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

It was a gorgeous day. Mid-fifties, blue skies and sunny. All the snow from yesterday was melted by noon.
Passed berry trees on a walk through Park Hill, and of course I brought my camera with.

Finally snowed early this morning here in Denver. Still isn’t the snappy cold, but a reminder that the ski and holiday season isn’t far off at all. Can’t believe it, where did the summer go? Did we have one?

Meh, in any case it give us the chance to fire up our [...]

Being in Colorado, we’re able to see the mountains during the summer as well as the winter. Grass and snow. Sunburn and windburn. This photo was taken over the summer with these ski rescue sleds lined up on top of Keystone.
The mountains have opened up and are welcoming ski season with [...]

Hello! I have finally updated my camera collection on Flickr, this time using a lightbox technique suggested by Hubs at Artifacting. While it is not *the* best system ever, I’m fairly pleased with the results.

Dave signed us up for the Denver Composting Collection Pilot Program – we will be only one of 3,000 people in Denver to take part.
Reading over the materials, its really cool. They give us a huge green bin for outside as well as a mini container to keep inside the house [...]
